question? help please!!

ok for those who don't know i got two horses (thoroughbreds) in december of last year. the younger one (mine) has a tattoo on his upper lip. they were traded to me with the understanding that the previous owner would try to get the papers for "cowboy" from the person he bought him from. (who had apparently "misplaced" the papers for him) well i haven't had any contact with the guy since late january and still no papers. now this guy is a cop and i know he's good for his word but i still would like to at least know my horse's registered name and if there's some chance for applying for lost papers or something like that. so my question is this: is there any way i can get my horse's name (no racing history or anything else) without paying the $35 fee to the jockey club (because i'm not working and barely have enough to feed the horses as it is)? can members do that? i know with aqha you can look up pedigrees for about $5 and you get a $15 allowance every month (or something like that) his tattoo # is Z25424 if anyone can look it up for me? thanks a million!!!

anyone? all i want is a name so i can yell it at him when he's in troule . hehe! but seriously just a name would be wonderful. so far everywhere i've looked you have to be a member and even if it's free you still have to have a credit card (which i refuse to have). so there's my delima.
