Mine is really similar. I also want a buckskin gelding, but I want him to be a really stocky quarter horse and around 15hh. My second choice would be the same thing in palomino, and my third would be a chestnut overo paint. I want him to be really quiet and great on trails, and around 8 years old.

I think any girl who grew up on Black Beauty or the Black Stallion wants a black horse.

oh..I want a whole breeding herd of imported Hungarian Shagya Arabs, I mean if we are dreaming dream big plus the farm and bank roll to support them in the lap of equine luxury

however in more rational sized dreams..I'll take one, mare 15.2h, and gray..preferably already trained in dressage..so I can get better

I would love a small-ish (15 to 15.3) non-fading black Friesian gelding that is super baroque and bulky with the thick, arched neck, and fairytale-quantities of mane, tail, and feathers. Super broke, willing to w/t/c/j when asked with no refusing, no bucking, no rearing, and no spooking. Very comfy gaits that are effortless to sit to. A trail riding machine that loves to be ridden and loves attention from me. I guess I can… Dream on!

I know this is going to sound really corny, but Opie is pretty much my dream horse. I might not have picked a chestnut, but other than that, he is it.

He is a 16.2 Appendix QH, and he is big and impressive looking. He always draws a crowd and lots of comments by his size and attitude, he knows he is handsome. He has enough fire to make it interesting riding him, he is not a deadhead, but I trust him and he is safe. And, he is very much a one person horse and loves me. My dream horse! The only thing I would have picked different would have been for him to be solid bay, or a black with high whites and a big blaze. But hey, I bet he would have chosen his ideal owner to be a little lighter!

I already have my dream horses. Desided about 10 years ago where I wanted my breeding program to go and when out and made it happen. How I have exactly what I had planed on all those years ago.

I have 2 dream horses

dream horse 1) AQHA stallion, 15.3 hh, built like a tank, has shown and won/placed in wp, halter, hus, and trail. kind gentle quiet well behaved and well mannered, anyone can handle, true black(like blacker then night) with a small white star and a small hind sock

dream horse 2) AQHA mare, 15.3-16 hh, built like a tank, has shown and won/placed in wp and halter, also a good trail horse and has some cow experiance, kind quiet well behaved, anyone can handle/ride type horse, palomino(I mean the palomino that looks like a real gold statue type palomino)with 2 hind socks, and a connected star and snip.

Now if only I could find 2 horses like that for under 2000 each lol

My dream horse will challenge me to think more and ride better.

My dream horse will call me on it every time I get lazy. She won't let me use force or intemidation. She will rquire me to maintain patience and calm all the time. She will make me think about why she is doing what she is doing and will make it very clear to me if I am on the right track with a training technique. She will train me to be a better trainer to all horses. She will train me how I can help others be better to all horses.

I miss Ziggy. She was, and will always be my dream horse.

Karen

I have mine. Flirt is a Half Arab saddlebred cross out of a stallion in Iowa. She is the size that fits me. She has a very forgiving attitude and is just a wonderful all around horse.

Oh you mean this mare???? LOL
She loves to chase cows dogs anything you put infront of her. Do not even need a human there to get her going.

Sorry they are a bit dark did not think it was going to be an inside show so left all the strobs at home. Oh well.

Just add the TV and you are all set.

Let's see - I would love a horse that could get me going to a higher jumping level. One that is brave to the fences and isn't waiting for me to convince them to jump - in other words, a horse that really does love jumping! I like a hotter horse, I'd rather try to slow them down than need to fight to keep them moving, but not a "spooky" horse, either. Tall, as I like something to wrap my legs around - I love a horse over 17hh, but size isn't that big of a deal. The conformation to hold up to the jumping, but a good enough mover to do okay in dressage, too so that I could do eventing (my real goal).

Now, for things that really wouldn't make a horse a dream horse or not, but that would make the icing on the cake: Over 17hh, I like Dutch Warmbloods, but maybe a DW/TB cross would be even better. Grulla is my absolute favorite color, the grey-like-you-colored-them-with-a-crayon and dark, dark points with plenty of chrome. Blue roan with chrome would be my second color choice. Of course, I've yet to see anything remotely close to said dream horse in those colors, so not sure if such a horse even exists! Refined and elegant, but powerful and muscular.

My dream has been, 14.1 ~ 14.2h medium golden buckskin gelding, could handle dun markings if the right body shade, bulldog build, foundation quarter horse. This horse would be one we raised from a baby, loves people, has a push button ride, no spooks, dead quiet, something that would be suitable for me at my age and good for the G-children. Problem is we always get too much height or it's a filly. So guess we'll just keep riding the mares and DREAM ON! Or get a larger mounting block!

A mare, 14.1hh, wider than the day is long, BIG ol healthy feet, excellent using conformation, a butt bigger than mine, lots of sense and no dummy, SMART, any color.

Of course it'd have to be an Arab.

I already have all of that except the height...Myst is too tall

Oh, my 3 dream horses are-

16 hands and up Non-fading black Friesian Mare, heavy feathering and dead broke.

Draft cross Buttermilk buckskin at least 17 hands. Well broke western.

at least 16 hand pinto ( black and white bonus ) Saddlebred mare, amazing gaits, super broke ( Can you tell I'm tired of training? ) western. And, or course, they would all have to have awsome personalities, and be healthy and sound til this 30, lol.
