Without knowing his parentage and going by color alone, I'd call him a buckskin with some countershading. He's cute!

Thanks guys that is my 3yo gelding http://www.allbreedpedigree.com/ba+flying+leo ... I have raised him since he was a yearling he is now at the trainers for a month so my son can ride him ...

I was going to say it looked like he was a dun going grey, then I checked out his pedigree . Since he's by a grey, out of a grey, I will definetly say that's what he looks like to me

He is a.....Dun going gray......



Dun now because of the cape and the bars on his legs and gray because of the white coming in around his eyes.

He is a dun going gray

His breeders KNEW this so he is registered as a gray not a dun so if you look at his paper RIGHT NOW you would think they were wrong

It looks like he has a dorsal stripe so I would say dun. He is turning grey though. I can see it in the first pic.

I didnt' want a gray or a dilute but he was what I wanted everywhere else !! He is soo smart training him has been a challenge.. he gets bored easy and when he does he will just stop and stand there with a hindn leg cocked LOL

He should end up looking like his Daddy but who knows with one that is going gray we love him regardless of how ugly his color turns

He is really pretty and maybe he will be a grey with black/brown points. That is beautiful. Keep the pics coming so we can see his progress!!
