VIDEO ADDED!! Good match for breeding?

I think we've decided to keep Cutty, so we are considering getting her bred.

Here is the stud...

He's dunalino so there is a 75% chance of color on a non-diluted mare.

The End....

Opinions please!

The faults that I can pick out in the stallion are pretty similar in the mare. I would try to find a different stallion that compliments her a little better. Id like to see improvement on her head, neck and rear end. The same things go for the stallion though he has a slightly more refined face than she does. JMO

What exactly are you looking for in a stallion? The foal?

Definitely seems to give gorgeous coloring to those babies doesnt he. I wouldnt say that the resulting foal from the cross would be a "bad" one. I suppose at "worst" the foal would just be a replica of them. Which really, isnt anything to complain too much about.

Thank you ThorArb!! Pictures really do not do Cutty justice....Somehow, pictures almost always make her head look ugly - but in real life, she has a cute face and nice head...Something always looks "off" in her pictures - she's just not photogetic at all! She's a real sweet mare and a great riding horse(it's unfortunate that she got injured and isn't sound to ride anymore). She was really good with my other mare's filly last year, so I would assume she would make a real good momma(the filly was a MAJOR stinker and would try to nurse off of everyone else, when she knew darn well where her ma was..greedy little turd!!)

The stud is suppose to have a nice disposition and if his pedigree says anything about him it's that he's athletic.

Im going to have to agree with you....That stallion has many faults that your mare has also, not too bad, but not as good as a nice well built stallion you can find elsewhere that can compliment your mare's "faults"

I would consider a stallion that is leggier and is more decent in shape,& built much better then this guy....he just doesnt look he can produce substance from your mare...imo anyways.

What is your price range? maybe, if you want, I can help you look around to find a stallion that I think can compliment your mares faults to produce a nice built qh.......but thats up to you.

anyways, I think better off just looking for another stallion with more substance and conformation.

Well you can see the Dun It in him. I like his breeding. Would like the Dun It closer but that is just me. All 4 lines are very strong.

They really need better pictures of him that is for sure.

Also take a relly hard look at your mare. The pictures of her are not bad but Dun It tend to be a tad short in the neck so if your mare is short necked I would look for a differant stud. As if you look at him he has a sorter neck longer in the back again a dun it trate.

His get look nice but I would want to see a video before I would make a disition.

I like the way he moves and again you can see the dun it in him. If you watch Dun It horses they all travel that way.

I will tell you this when you are riding them it is almost like their head and neck is not there. Kind of funny feeling. They have a lot of power and you really feel them driving more of a rocking horse type thing over a cattalac type ride.
