What color is this filly?

Our filly Kharma is out of a dark bay mare and by a cremello stallion.
She can ONLY be a buckskin or a smokey black (as our only other chance was a pally)
When she was born, I was SURE she was a smokey black, as she had that silver color, now as she sheds out, I wonder is she a smutty buckskin?
She is A LOT lighter than her dam, and has bright rings around her ears. Her dam is sunbleached, but not nearly like this filly.

Thoughts, guesses, ideas?

Recklesshoundog saw her last weekend and first look she had she thought dark buckskin too, which is what I had been beginning to think myself.

When she was born:

Now at 4 months:

I am far from an expert but she looks like a Sooty Buckskin to me.

I would say smokey black. My mare's baby pictures looked like her and she is now a smokey black. She is a nice looking filly!

If that is how the game works, I am guessing she is pink...with white polka dots.

I WIN, Yay for me.

ETA: Almost forgot, she is adorable!

Diego was tested and is smokey black. He went from this

To this which looks very similar to your fillies color

Diego is going gray though...hence the gray spots

You are an agouti test away from an answer to your question. lol

Looks like she could be either smokey black or buckskin though I lean more towards smokey black unless she is just really sooty.

Either way she's cute.

Yep- I am sticking with my original then, smokey black.
I was just surprised she lightened up more than her bay momma!
It will be interesting to see how she sheds out, and how she looks with her winter woolies
(She is for sale, but eh, I dont mind hanging onto her either )
