Scotch Bar Time horses

Does anyone have any experience with this line? More specifically with the mare line- daughters/granddaughters as producers. I have not personally dealt with any Scotch bred horses... yet. Any advice greatly appreciated.

Brittany

From what I have seen and read they are some of the BEST all around horses out there. I know of one on the buckskin circuits, a mare, who has world champion titles from HUS to WP to showmanship! She also has a ROM and is nearing a superior in Halter. She has been top 10 at AQHA Congress as well!

Sounds nice. Ive seen very nice horses from this line, but wondered how his daughters are as producers.

What I know of him is that he is more known for his daughters than his sons. Great all-round horses that excell in multiple events several as youth horses so that tells you they have great minds.

Are you considering getting one?

The mare I spoke of has had 2 colts I know of, and both are awesome! Both are by good performance studs though!

My App colt is a g-grandson of SBT. All I can say is I adore him and SBT was a big part of the reason I purchased Weebo

I knew and worked with one gelding. He was horrible though...I've never met a horse that rotten. It was like he lived for trying to hurt people and things.

However, I blame the owners, NOT the horse. I don't know what he could have been like had he had decent owners. He was a beautiful horse, he just hated people but I can't blame him...

A lady friend of mine stands a stud out of Scotch Bar Time and has a few of his daughters she crosses with a Blue Max stud and they are great mares. Gentle, easy to train, and s excell at many different things from WP to sme performance events. If you are considering one I would say lets see the pedigree and pics for confirmation.

Im not looking at her, I cant possibly bring home another mare! My gosh, what would Zippy think. I mean he's already spoiled rotten as it is. No seriously, my friend Kim was asking me advice on this mare she was looking at. If she got her, she wanted to know how she would cross on Zippy. I told her Im not that familiar with SBT horses, but Id find out.

Her pedigree:

Waiting for Kim to send me pictures that she has of her.

Here is Zippy's pedigree in the meantime since she is wanting to breed this mare to him if it works out and she's nice enough.

I love Scotch Bar Time. I am currently showing as a youth and I competed against a girl with a SCT bred gelding. What a wonderful horse!! From my experience, SCT horses are great all-around. I've seen a lot of great youth horses with this breeding as well.

Some friends own the stallion Scotchs Jubilee. He is very nice, very well mannered. Another friend has a daughter of his, so this would be a granddaughter of Scotch Bar Time. She also had Go Man Go in her. She was gorgeous and well broke with a nice temperment but a little hot. Not bad but one of those in our group at the parade who we kept in the middle as she was always looking for something to spook at.
The Scotchs Jubilee foals do well in halter in the area, both AQHA and local shows...
