 | I know there is a urine test (might be called "Wee Foal"?). Not sure how accurate it is, but it might give you an idea. ETA: Here's what I found with a google search: http://www.weefoal.com/index.html

| Vet can just do an exam without the ultrasound to tell also. I always ask for the ultrasound just to make for sure. But usually my vet can tell from the exam unless it is a brand new pregnancy.

| We used the wee foal with great results. There is a blood test your vet can do also. They won't give you any ideas as to twinning or how far along, but they will confirm pregnancy. |

| THANKS!!! That's what I wanted to know-- the nearest vet that uses ultrasound is quite a ways away. I thought maybe the blood test would be easier. Thanks again. |

| Yes it is. We kept her at the breeders for a month and she didn't show signs of coming back in heat, so I pick her up tomorrow!!  |

| The blood test is not that acurate. Ultra sound Palpate Urine test then blood test for finding out. I just went through this and I was told by both of my Vets the blood test costs $ and the % of it telling if the mare is in foal is very low.

| There is not a mobile Vet that has one near you? Or when you pick her up, you may can stop by a Vets and get it done. Good luck. I hope she is in foal.
