Help.. This will be our first foal at our ranch, and am looking for some info. We are roughly 2-3 weeks out from "D" day. Our barns are concrete floored and I have heard that we should put lime down covered with straw on the floor to help with odor and such. My question is could there be a chemical reaction or burn possiblity to the new foal. Thanks for any help or info, and I'll keep you all updated.

lpfireguy151, you might get more response in making a new topic.

I personally wouldn't put the lime under the straw.
Straw, yes. Lime, no.
