Arab pedigree

Hi,
I dont post on here very much but thought that someone on here could help me. I have an Arabian mare I am trying to sell. We breed and show American Shetland ponies and do not have the room or time for this beautiful mare. Plus she is just to beautiful to be standing in our pasture when someone with Arabs could do something with her. In the showring or the broodmare pen. Anyway, I was just wondering if someone could tell me a little about her mothers line? I found plenty on her sires lines. Her sire is *Mag. You can see her pedigree here http://www.allbreedpedigree.com/glf+magnifcnthope
Also I was told that she was shown as a yearling and was just wondering if someone could look that up?
Thanks for any help.

Although Mags sire was Aswan and they're considered Russian, Aswan was actually Egyptian. Having said that, your mare would be considered high percentage Russian with domestic on the bottom side.

Sorry I'm at work, just took a quick look at mare's breeding, it's hard to find Mag daughters still around, someone may want for breeding, she has a little bit of everything in there, top has Polish/Egyptian/ very little actual Russian, bottom is very little Russian, very little Egyptian, and a lot American/old Crabbet.

Yea, I never understood why Mag is considered Russian when he actually has very little Russian in him.

aharabs, if you know of someone interested in a Mag daughter send them to me I have had no luck on getting any bites on her and I am only asking $750 for her. I figured someone would like to add her to a broodmare band and I dont think I have priced her to high?

Ooo, I really love her pedigree and I would be very interested if we weren't in the middle of putting up a barn right now and extremely stretched right now. When my colt is older I will be a looking for a mare bred like her. I can't believe all the nice mares I keep stumbling on when I can't get one. I'm especially looking for a mare with McCoy breeding.

No, I don't think $750 is at all unreasonable, in fact it is really cheap, I'm kinda out of the loop so to speak, as have not been very active doing any breeding/showing for a while cause of "life", If I can think of anyone I could let you know........ the economy/arab market around me has not been too good lately........ as far as Arabs, and them "becoming" Russian/Polish/etc./etc. even when straight something else, does get a little complex sometimes, although they can become very prepotent in developing certain "traits" that each line becomes known for through the country of choice selecting, and breeding on what their desired traits are until it is secured in their breeding stock, and then bred on, but it again can become confusing, particulary when starting out, just two classic examples would be Aswan being considered Russian, although in blood straight Egyptian, or Arax being considered Russian, but actually Pure Polish, but through his importation from Poland to Russia he became Russian, and the list could go on and on.

P.S. I was just thinking today, ( Sat. ) that there is a lady whom owns a tack shop, and I used to show arabs with that may be interested in this breeding, I will contact and see, if she is I will foward her info. to you.
