We are expecting our first in March and are very excited. She (I'm being positive) will be a fancy little filly, sorrel in color with a star and 2 front white socks. Not that I'm praying for anything specific Our mare, her mama is a Do You Have a Minute by Sonny's Hot Jazz sorrel and her daddy is Paddy's Irish Whiskey.

We have 5 mares, all bred to Phenomenal Creation (red dun). Two of the mares are red dun and the other 3 are sorrels. So, we have 75% chance of red duns out of the first two mares and 50/50 chance of red dun/sorrel with the sorrel mares. Our first foal is due February 2nd, out of our 2X Res. World Champion Obviously Dun In Oil (aka "Ali"). We're very excited to see this baby!

2010 Anticipated foals

We are expecting 3 foals. Our first two will be arriving January/February and the 3rd is expected in April.

We are very excited as this will be the first babies from our 4 year old Rocky Mountain/Kentucky Mountain stallion. He is black and is bred to 1 mare that is Chocolate, 1 is Red Chocolate and 1 B/w Paint Walking horse mare.

The first two are coming a little earlier than we expected but we will be prepared we hope.

I am hoping not to have any foals in 2010...have a mare I bought back in May that is not supposed to be bred but is starting to show a rather suspicious belly .
Currently trying to get it togther with hubby so he can take the kids to school and I can take her to get checked...praying she's open.

Other than that I am so looking forward to seeing everyone's foal watches and the pics of the foals!

Best of luck to all expecting!

Mine depends on if any of them sell or not.

I have Sugar 3-16, Bree 4-1, Lady 4-10, Luna 4-28 *forsale*, Contessa May? bought exposed to a stallion *forsale*, Ivy June? bought exposed to a stallion, Rosalita 8-16, Sofie 8-16 *forsale*, and Tara Sept 1.

I'm hoping that Luna, Sofie, and Contessa sells that will leave me with 6. Three in spring and 3 at end of summer. My most exciting foaling season will be 2011. Some fillies will be stepping up and I will get my first foals from Lakota. I will breed Sugar and Ivy to Lakota. Tika and Glory will both become mares. These are the first fillies from my breeding program that i've kept so i'm super excited to see how their foals look. Tika is a grulla pinto and glory is a bay. Lakota is the first colt i've ever kept. So thats very exciting. But i have to wait like almost 2 years it seems like for ever. Got the rest of this year all of next year and part of 2011.

We have 2 expected Gypsy foals. Abbeylara is in foal to Slainte (he's amazing) and we are hoping for a filly to keep. Also, Cinder, the dam of the smoky black colt, Keegan, is in foal to our stallion, Killian's Irish.

I bred 6 mares to my Appaloosa stallion Rowdy And Ready for 2010.

Rowdy is a res. Grand Champion and point earner, and has sired a res. World Champion, a World top 5 and Top 10, and ROM earners, from only three foals shown at ApHC shows. He has other foals showing in open English events and doing well also.

Two of the mares, both Thoroughbreds, have been sold to a Hunter/Jumper facility not far away, so I hopefully will be able to post photos of the foals when they arrive (due end of April and end of May.) These mares are 15.3 and 16 hand daughters of Service Stripe. One is a brown out of a Matchlite daughter, the other a bay out of a Slew O' Gold daughter.

Two of the mares are "outside" mares, in that I don't own them-- but the mares are living here, and these foals will likely be mine.

One outside mare is a palomino roan Appaloosa mare, a granddaughter of Hall of Fame sire Prince Plaudit with the balance of her pedigree being all Wiescamp breeding, and she herself is a proven producer of point earners.

The other outside mare is a solid red dun Appaloosa mare who comes from a near-by long-time Appaloosa program, based on the Peavy-Roberds-Wiescamp breeding and having some concentrated Bright Eyes Brother lineage, that I admire very much. I have seen several of this mare's previous foals and I like her consistency in producing nice balanced pretty offspring.

I have two of my own mares bred.

One of my mares is a 16.2 hand solid Palomino Appaloosa mare. She has produced futurity money winner for her previous owner. She is a daughter of Star J, National a top 5/top ten in both Halter and Western Pleasure, and a proven sire of all around performers at the regional, Natrional and World level, and her dam is a point-producing mare with a sireline from the same admired program mentioned above with a dash of linebreeding to Red Plaudit (sire of Prince Plaudit) on the damside.

My other mare is a solid chestnut Appaloosa who is herself a producer of a National Champion Western Pleasure winner, Medallion and ROM earners, and she is a daughter of Hall of Fame stallion The Executive, and a full sister to National Champion My Kinda Girl.

So there's the lineup. Besidesthe excitement for potential future performers, Rowdy And Ready has sired 100% Appaloosa color/characteristics, and with the variety of colors of these mares, it willl be fun to see what pops out.

I have one due around the end of March, first of April. Hoping for a filly, but as long as it is healthy..don't really care. This will be a keeper for us and will be our next Reined Cow Horse prospect.

Maybe I missed it, or have forgotten, but who is Libby bred to?

Editted to add: No planned, or otherwise, 2010 foals for me.

I have two due around mid-Feb. Both are bred to my solid black mountain horse stallion, one mare is black and the other mare is a blue roan.

Not too happy about such an early foaling date but my spouse wouldn't wait. Since we're in our new insulated barn with two 20x12 foaling stalls I'm not too worried about foaling but it will be so long before we can turn them out without having them wallowing in mud. I've also bought two new foal blankets to have on hand.

Thankfully we do not have any foals coming next year. After Bubbles' stress-ridden end of pregnancy last year I don't think I could handle another this year. Plus I really wanted to give her a break and I got my way!

Will probably have 2 in 2011, friends of ours have a really nice dun stud that has been tested and will only throw duns/grullos. Fillies would be kept and if there is any chance I get a grullo colt out of him and Jewel it would be kept as well.
