Sounds like a long and unproductive night for you...do you watch her during the day, as well? Maybe she's trying to surprise you...just don't turn your back....

Thats exactly what my horse was doing last night, except it was my goat sneezing! For a pregnant lady, she sure moves fast, bucking and cantering. She was supposed to foal the beginning of June, end of July at the very latest . . . and I'm still waiting.

By the time Lonely has that foal, it will be ready to weaned....now that's a different way to deal with fescue toxicity

Still no baby this morning? I'm getting antsy here....

Any thoughts, ideas, even daydreams that I have ever had about breeding Bita have folded up their tents and stolen away in the night after reading all the foal watch threads this year...my blood pressure definitely could not take this!

Last night was uneventful for the most part.

10pm revealed a full chest sweat, and her calling to the herd.
Then went back to hay nibbling and the rain started...

Off and on rain all night, she either ate or slept standing through it.

6 am, she was down, seemed to be uncomfortable. Came back inside just two steps, to grab shoes and a jacket, to try to sit quietly just outside where I could observe without her noticing.

By the time I started to tiptoe back to the step to sit, she spotted me, AND it started to rain again at the same moment, which sent her up and grumbling about getting her breakfast right then and there, not waiting until breakfast time.

Maybe she's getting ready to turn around and come out?

Please Lonely, I think we need some good news around here.

Still looks very "forward" like yesterday. Nothing telling me that "tonight is the night", know what I mean?

At this point, I'm just hoping she goes before my anniversary on the 15th. I'd rather go out to dinner with my hubby than watch this mare that night...
