Barn Flooring Question

Has anyone used pavers in their barn, or are used in barns where you board?? Just curious about opinions on them.
I, of course, think their beautiful, given that I have champage tastes and my beer pocketbook. But I do notice they make thinner ones, and if the space isn't that large,..., could be possible. RB

I was watching that Extreme makeover show when they did they Therapeutic riding facility and they put pavers around the outside of the arena (for the walkers) that were made of recycled rubber....I thought that was pretty neat. More cushion for the hooves and less cracking or chipping

We are using the larger recycled rubber paving squares in our small 3 stall/run in barn. Not quite got it all done yet but the horses like to stand on it and it's pretty easy to hose down and scrub off with a coarse broom.

I have black top in my aisle way, into stall 4 inches to stall floor so shavings stay inside. and when I hose down aisle way to clean does not go into stall.

Personally I LOVE cobblestone. butttttttttt a bit to costly for my beer pocket.

My barn has a dirt floor, and I don't really want concrete, but I thought pavers over the dirt might work nicely. AND, I didn't know if it was a project I could tackle myself?? I've seen them advertised in horsey catalogues, but I've never actually priced them anywhere else either.
My neighbor did hardscapes for landscaping, and he was EXPENSIVE, won't be asking him for a quote. I do know they're not cheap.
But I think it could really add a nice, finished look. And I love the cobblestone, and the brick, it's ALL nice!
Just wishing and thinking...., RB

It may be time consuming but perhaps an option ... what about making your own pavers? You could make several forms quite cheaply, mix as much cement as you need and even custom colour the mix to your liking. Might take a couple of summers but ... in the end you've really got a custom job because you'd make the pavers to fix your exact dimensions. No cutting or chipping pavers, just make 'em and lay 'em.
