40 Acre Farm!

Well we went to see a 40 acre farm today. It use to be a deer farm. There is an old farm house on the property, a pole bar, an old farm barn, and one shed.

I loved the property and the house could use some work over time but nothing that we couldn't move into and use.

Now comes the part of IF WE CAN AFFORD IT! And if we can SELL OUR HOUSE!

I don't even know what the next best step is to do at this point. I am a numbers kind of person. I want to see the numbers work before I make any decisions.

So here is to dreaming, hoping and wishing!

Maybe BnJ Appaloosas will have a true farm to call their own in the next year!

Is there any way you can buy the farm while your house is on the market? Maybe you could rent it out?

We are trying to see if maybe we can 'rent' the new house while ours is on the market. We will see what works out. I will keep you all posted!

Good luck hope your dreams come true.
Talk to a mortgage officer. and than talk to several banks. If you are looking at this farm thru a realtor, perhaps they could recommend someone too.
Get a price on your house and list asap at a great price that would move the sale quicker.
Yes hopefully you could rent the new house, but in the meanrtime you need to work on getting your house sold.

Good luck with the farm. We have about 40 acres and its a nice amt of land, but some days I wish it were 140 acres, and when I'm cutting grass in the heat, I wish it wasn't quite so much.
Hope it all comes together for you. Redboy

I just saw this and wanted to say when we built our house we had one for sale and it really came down to the wire we didn't think it was going to sell before time to move into our new one--and we could not afford both so we had set up with a mortgage company we were going to get a new loan on our old house that we only had to pay the interest on it while it was up for sale---really would have lightened the load.......
We got very lucky and ended up selling it just before the new house was done
but that is something to look at
Where is the farm house?
