Stable Name Help!
OK guys, I'm moving into a new place officially on June 15. Details wil come later, but let's just say that the facility is NICE. Anyway, I'm setting up an LLC for myself and need a business name. So, put your creative brains to work.
Primarily an eventing facility, although we'll be able to cater to h/j and dressage as well. We want something fun but not tacky/inappropriate and want to avoid the "run of the mill" barn names so nothing that contains fox, spring, stone, hill, field, green as those are the key words of local barns and we want something more original.
Ideas we've had so far:
Long Day Eventing
Kynda Lyca Stable
Fun Days Farm
One Morehorse Farm
Little Event Stable
Put your brains to work...

Do you want your name in the name of the barn?
You could something with your name:
Double _______ Stables
Old [insert street name, or city you live in here] Farm
Here's some barn names in my state:
5 fillies farms
Empire Equestrian Center
Old Macclenny Equine Center[that's me]
Triple K Bar C Stables
Silver Star Ranch
Southern Star Ranch
Stepping Out Stables
Solid Rock Stables
Double A Ranch
Y Knot Ranch
Twin Branch Stables
Saddle Trail Ranch
Night Breeze Ranch
Triple E Ranch
Just to give you an idea.
You could right down a list of words you like[sounds stupid right] and just piece them together different combos etc.
I really like Kynda Lyca Stable

Good ideas so far, keep them coming!
I want to avoid a name that describes the place like Big Field, Spring Run, etc. b/c that's what everyone does and would rather be different
We do have a couple ideas for names that play on our own name, but don't want to post those on an open internet (unless we do decide to use one). Once I'm in officially I will post pics as well as a link to the website once it's up and running.
I like Stepping Out, but it seems more like a saddleseat or gaited horse barn than an eventing one. Grrr...why can't it be easier to pick a great name? We were leaning on Kynda Lyca as there is a story behind that one, but were'nt sure if it was the "right" name for a professional facility.

I know what you mean about wanting something original. I'm down here at the edge of the FL Everglades (literally, every once in a while we have to postpone a ride to deal with the 'alligator in the arena' situation )
Anyway, when I started my facility I wanted to call it Everglades Equine. But down here, there is an Everglades Ranch, Everglades Farm, etc and I didn't want to be concused with anyone else. You know, you go to Ocala and there's Pine Ridge, Three Pines, Lonesome Pine, Tall Pines, Pinewood, Pinecone, give me a break! Last thing I want is for people to be like "oh yeah I took a lesson at that....Pine place, it was great you should go there!"
I understand why you like Kynda Lyca but....it did take me a minute to realize what it said. It's sort of complicated in a way. Not that it's not cute, but your average person may not take the time to try to read it out.
I think you might want to come up with, like someone said, 2 words that you like that mean nothing when put together. My screenname in high school was Tikigator. I needed a new screenname and wanted something no one else had. I had a parrot named Tiki and I was going to UF to be a Gator, so I just put the 2 together. I was known as Tikigator EVERYWHERE. And when it finally came time for me to pick a farm name, everyone just told me to go with Tikigator, because everyone knew me as that anyawy. It really stuck, people remember it, I got the name copyrighted so I'm the only one out there, and people really don't forget it.
So maybe come up with something like that....do you have a favorite horse you own or used to own? Or a horse you currently own that's a high level horse? You also should think about the ending...do you want "FARM" or "STABLE" or "RANCH" or "ACRES"? That makes a difference on a name as well.
Frequent Flyer's Farm
Triple Sun Eventing (instead of three day...triple sun)
Or, if you have a CC course on your property, maybe pick an obstacle that you like the best, or a combination of obstacles....like ummm.....*trying to think creative here*......
Bank to Bullfinch Eventing
Over the Oxer Eventing
Rails-Ditch-Rails Farm (ie: coffin element)
Up the Bank Eventers
Coffin to Corner Eventing
you may not want the word coffin in your name, eventers would understand it but others may not. trying to think of what you would say to someone that was going to ride a course "up the bank to the brush, then ditch to water, over the log, coffin to corner, etc"
Let us know what you come up with!!

My place is named after my very first horse. Her name was Montana Gem, so I call it Gem's Acres. You could do that, or pick your favorite horse or your best eventing horse to use.

How about the
"Mane Event Stables"
I think it kind of plays off the the eventing discipline you said you are geared toward, while still being kind of original. I like the "mane" part. I don't think I have ever heard of a barn with this name either.
