Miracle Span building

I was wondering if anyone here has a Miracle Span building for use as a barn and if so, how do you like it?
We have priced out a "S series" and it seems very reasonable, as long as you don't want "fancy".

If Mircle Span buildings are membrane arches, I love them. I don't own own one myself, but I have been in several, from a small one being used as a haybarn to a massive Hercules Arch structure that covered several acres and provided not only stableing and an indoor arena, but even "open" riding and turnout areas - all under cover.

If I were going to build my barn without the benefit of the free used lumber I get from work, I would be using a Clear Span building myself.

Oh! Those are the steel arch buildings. Very nice structures.

They make excellent hore barns as long as you keep two things in mind:

1. Unless you use pre-fab 4 wall stalls, you will want to line the inside with wood up to about 7 or 8 feet, to prevent injuries to your horses from projecting/loose fasteners. If you want to use the walls of the building as a stall wall, you will additionally want to make a kickwall of 2x dimension lumber for the first 4 feet - any lining above that can be plywood.

2. Make sure to plan for extra ventilation - those buildings are very tight. The roof-mount cupolas work best, but vents with fans in the endwalls will work, especially in cooler climates line yours (but even so, steel buildings can get very hot without proper ventilation)
