Horse boarding in Central Florida

I am moving to Orlando area soon, and if I can't sell my horse here in Michigan I will be taking him with me. Does anyone know of an inexpensive place to board? I would prefer a small less-formal barn, I don't like barns that get too crowded. Also, what do I need to know about turning out a horse in Florida? It might seem silly, but I keep thinking about the snakes. Any advice would be helpful.

Welcome first of all from a fellow Floridian ( well, soon anyway). I am sorry can't help with the boarding questions but, I can tell you I have never had any problems with snakes. I live right next to a preserve so if there was to be a problem I would have one already. Snakes stay out of the way of animals most of the time. Good luck in your move.

One more thing about turning out in Florida. If your horse is white you will need lots and lots of sunscreen!!!

There are a few stables in the Longwood area and also Oveido and Clermont.

Really depends on what side of Orlando you'll be living in, it's pretty spread out... It can take 1 to 1 1/2 hours to get from one side to the other...

You can google search "horse boarding, orlando, florida" and it will bring up a few....

I am about 45 minutes to an hour east of Orlando, let me know if I can help...
