A move may be in our future... northern Louisiana

There's a possibility that my husband could be transferred to Louisiana, around Monroe. What areas around Monroe or even Marion would be good to raise children? Any towns to suggest? A town in Arkansas close to the border near Marion might work, too. I'm looking for a low-crime area with decent schools.

my mom was raised in Monroe..its a very quiet place..its nice.

idk about Marion.

I am much further south, but I know people who are from the Monroe area, (non-horsey people). They really like it up there. Call the chamber of comerce, they usually help people with relocation questions. Let me know if there is anything I can do from down here.
