I have a road!!!

The land owner came out yesterday with his tractor. He spent all day out there cutting the grass away and starting the road. It goes past the irrigation ditch no, out to the 8 acres behind us. He also started cutting in the driveway back to the house. The builder was going to come in today and start with the grader to level it all out. Today or tomorrow the rock gets delivered. As soon as the raod is in, he can get back to the house site, and start clearing for concrete. I am so excited.
Out to the main road

To the back 8

Yeah!! I know the exact feeling.
When we bought our property (37 acres) we didn't have a road either, and we were some 1000 feet off the main road.
It was the first thing we had to do in the 'project'.
Congrats!!
Good luck, and keep us updated on your progress!!

wow Rhaige9 it looks great. Saw your other post and you are practically living my dream. Granted I am only 20 years old so I have plenty of time to get there, but sooo jealous! will definitely be keeping tabs on the whole situation. Live it through you. Sure I'm not the only one.

Keep it up with the pictures!

CONGRATS!!! Beautiful home site. =)
Hubby and I finished building a little less than a year ago on our 18 acres... =) And for us, it wasn't a difficult thing to do.. We just made the decisions and went on. It was a very simple give and take...
GOOD LUCK!

Yah!!! I'm excited to see your progress. We are buying 16acres and hope to go through the same process in a year or 2. Thanks for the pictures and updates!
